作为一个在出版界工作多年的编辑，我经常会产生迷惘，为什么市面上出版的那么多设计图书，就没有多少是设计师真正需要，且可反复阅读的好书呢？我知道这里面有多方面的原因，也需要多种因素的配合，我们需要一个好作者，作者也需要一个好的出版平台。
一直信奉这么一句话——编辑的幸福就是让读者满足。于是在一致的理念之下，我与简老师便有了这次愉悦的合作之旅。应该说，这本《软装设计师手册》无论是在编、校或其他方面，都倾注了作者的大量心血，书中的每处细节都是在简老师的亲自参与和指导下完成的，这是该书难能可贵的优点。当然，因为我的粗疏、受知识面的局限，书中肯定会存有这样或那样的缺点或不足，但我想，这本书总算是给软装行业提供了一个基础，后面的人可以不断去加以改进、提高和完善。
希望《软装设计师手册》是我们设计师案头那种读了一遍，还可以读第二遍、第三遍，经得起反复推敲的作品，也希望《软装设计师手册》是那种设计师除了自己读，还乐于推荐给朋友阅读的作品。
